What Legal Marijuana Means For Colorado

Marijuana is officially legal in Colorado, says Amendment 64, signed by Gov. John Hickenlooper on December 10, 2012.

The new law states people 21+ years old can:

Possess an ounce of marijuana

Grow up to six plants privately

Medical marijuana patients can have two ounces

Only medical patients can buy from a dispensary

Either grow your own, or someone can gift you an ounce

Tourists are welcome to this gift

You can’t be penalized or arrested for marijuana

Don’t smoke in public
